A warm greeting from sunny Florida in the United States. My name is Delvis Echeverría Pérez, using my second surname (Pérez) and thus, my mother and grandmother feel proud.
I am originally from Cuba, but I have a great love for three other countries that mean a lot to me and my family: Spain, Uruguay, and the United States.
I am an Information Technology Engineer and Master in Software Quality from the University of Sciences (UCI) in Havana, Cuba. I have worked as a Professor at UCI, teaching subjects such as Software Engineering, Database, and Software Testing. I have also worked as a Senior Software Testing Specialist at the National Center for Software Quality, where I also served as a Performance Test Manager and as the Head of the Software Testing Engineers’ Group. In Uruguay, I lived for almost 3 years and this country gave me the opportunity to work for GeneXus Consulting where I served as a Performance Test Engineer.
In the United States, I work as a QA Engineer for the company FieldEdge and also as a Performance Test Engineer at SQAadvisory, where I am the founder. This project has given me the opportunity to offer training and consulting services to several companies in Latin America since 2017 on topics of Automated Testing and Performance Testing. Currently, I am an author and Master Trainer for the certification “ Performance Testing United,” focusing on JMeter.
I have a very special feeling for Performance Tests and especially for JMeter. I’ve known it since 2010 and I’m so passionate about it that I decided many years ago to be able to teach others about its characteristics, tips, and good practices.
During my free time I try to spend it with my family and in direct communication with those who, due to life’s circumstances, are far from me.
